1. Liven Up Your Spread
And what do we mean by this? Normally, a traditional Thanksgiving includes Turkey, stuffing, and cranberries but how about this — do a mixture of cooking and take outfrom your fave local restaurants. While you have your gold crusted turkey, pair it with a platter of sushi and edamame or even a fruit salad. Keep the table full and the food various, your guests will appreciate this. We recommend getting two to three large salads from fan-fave Souvla and add them into the mix. Bitters + Bottles
3. Dessert Is The Window To The Soul
Everyone’s sweet tooth ranges from sugar crazed to a light dusting and in our experience it’s easier for people to bring a dessert rather than a meal. Having each of your guests bring a sweet treat will be perfect for the spread. Everything from powdered Dolly’s Doughnuts to Marla Bakeries’ Macarons, there is no shortage in finger licking sweets to be had. So what is the key to an awesome friendsgiving? Keep your food as open ended as possible, it adds to the intrigue, fun, and spontaneity of it all. Of course, have your foundation courses prepped but make this a meal your friends won’t sure forget. And remember, keep it local.
Happy coma’ing.
